You learn photography by doing.
I love the moment when an idea becomes a photograph. Even better is sharing that moment with others. That’s what HOP – Hands On Photography is for.
In my workshops, we pick up a camera, try out different materials, experiment with camera-less photography, and get to the bottom of things. Sometimes we’re outside with a large-format camera; other times, we work with paper, light, and chemicals. You don’t have to know everything already. Curiosity is a great place to start.
Less watching, more doing. I want you to understand what you’re doing, with room to ask questions, make mistakes and find your own approach.
