The image plays a role in this.
I work with paint, paper, light, and textured surfaces. I apply, reveal, and alter the conditions under which an image emerges. What becomes visible in the process influences my next decisions. This results primarily in abstract works—with deliberate interventions and room for what I couldn’t see before.

Bodies of work
- Five Squares Q-AD 2025
Five Squares Q-AD, 2025 Five small-format works in acrylic and iron on canvas, each measuring 20 × 20 cm in a stretcher frame. Vibrant red, orange, and yellow meet rough surfaces of iron and rust. Layers of paint overlap, crack open, and reveal traces beneath. The rust is still changing slightly—the paintings continue to evolve.
- Conditions of Interruptions 2026
Five square works, predominantly white and distinctly physical. Dark bands, narrow openings, and residual traces of color interrupt the surfaces. “Dominance,” “Obstruction,” “Compression,” “Absence,” and “Residue” demonstrate how differently an interruption can appear.
- Conditions of Tension 2026
Ochre-colored surfaces break open, revealing blue. In five square mixed-media works, clear divisions meet irregular networks of cracks. Dense and tranquil areas keep the sequence in motion.
- Paper Squares 2026 — #001–#015
Fifteen numbered mixed-media works on paper. Blue and turquoise, dark areas and light streaks meet geometric shapes. The irregular paper edges and streaks of color extending beyond the square are an integral part of the work.
- Conditions of Erosion 2026
Five square mixed-media works exploring layers, fractures, and what remains visible. Light surfaces meet earthy colors and fractured structures. Each work finds its own order within this framework.
Color. Light. And what comes of it.
My artistic work begins with the material and the process involved. It encompasses photography, abstract images, and the choices that lie in between.
